The 88 teams taking the field during the tournament have all won championships at Senior Softball USA sanctioned tournaments during the 2015 season. In total 28 states will be represented by teams in the tournament including: Hawaii, Arizona, New York, Virginia and Texas, in addition to three teams from Ontario, Canada competing. Championships will be contested in 11 divisions (Men’s Masters, Men’s 50+, Men’s 55+, Men’s 60+, Men’s 65+, Men’s 70+, Men’s 75+, Men’s 80/85+, Women’s 40+, and Women’s 50+ Divisions) and all teams will be honored during the Friday Night Awards banquet. In total more than 1500 people are expected to attend the five day event.

Aside from the many championships contested during the tournament, one of the week’s highlights is the annual exhibition game between the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team and the Senior Softball USA Tournament of Champions All Stars. This inspiring, moving and fun event will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 7 pm at the Auburndale Softball Complex. The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team represents some of our nation’s bravest and most determined heroes, soldiers and veterans. These men have sustained severe injuries resulting in amputation, and through extensive rehabilitation, they have become competitive athletes again, playing against able-bodied teams in exhibition games across the country.
