Cypress Gardens is the venue for many national and international water ski competitions, including the prestigious World Championships, the All-American Championships and the Budweiser Pro Tour. Much more than a water ski venue, Cypress Gardens hosts the Sertoma/Bud Light Triathlon, the oldest and longest-running event of its kind in Florida. Polk County hosted the World Cup Hang Gliding Championship, the Diet Pepsi National Kneeboard Championship, the Publix Family Fitness Weekend, the Ranger Millennium Fishing Tournament, and the Like Father Like Son Fishing Tournament.
