Countdown to Sunshine State Games Summer Festivals

TALLAHASSEE - The countdown has begun for the beginning of the Sunshine State Games Summer Games Festival. The action in the 31st Annual Olympic-style Festival kicks off in one week on Friday, June 11.

Taking place the weekend of June 11-13 is the Sunshine State Games Fast Pitch Softball Championships in Polk County.

The registration deadline for the Fast Pitch Softball Championships is Sunday, June 6 and over 50 teams are expected to be on the field at the Auburndale Softball Complex and Winter Haven’s DiamondPlex. As of Thursday, June 3, the 16 and under division featured 18 registered teams. Teams have also registered in the 12 and under, 14 and under and 18 and under divisions.

The Polk County Summer Games Festival will be held the weekend of June 18-20 with eight sports being contested in various Polk County locations.
