Florida Half Century Softball to Increase Presence in Polk County in 2005

11/10/2004 -

Polk County, FL (November 10, 2004)— For the second straight year Polk County Sports Marketing (PCSM) has brought 13 Florida Half Century (FHC) softball events to Polk County. Included in the recruiting success are two weekends of State Championship play featuring the 50-year-old age division and the 55 and 60 year old age divisions. Additionally, Polk County will also serve as host to the Florida Half Century Annual Board meeting in October. “We continue to bring our events to Polk County because of the camaraderie we share with the staff of Polk County Sports Marketing and the facilities Polk County has to offer are the best in the state,” said Florida Half Century Commissioner, Bruce Fisher.

One reason for the success of PCSM in bringing FHC to Polk County is the ability to offer their tournaments television coverage on the Sunshine Network for their State Championship in December. “We are pleased to be able to offer this great organization the opportunity to showcase the talent of their participants on a station like Sunshine Network,” said Zach Burek of Polk County Sports Marketing.
