 Lakeland/Winter Haven ranked No. 16 Golfing Community by Golf Digest Magazine

Golf Digest lists Lakeland/Winter Haven in its top 20 golfing communities in the nation. Lakeland/Winter Haven came in at No. 16, and only one Florida community -- Punta Gorda -- ranked higher at No. 3. The magazine based its ratings on access to golf, weather, value, and quality of golf. The nation's top spot, according to the rankings, is Auburn-Opelika, Ala., while Jersey City, N.J., bottomed out the list at No. 330. Other notables from Florida include Orlando at No. 73 and Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater at No. 148.
