Softball in Polk County, Central Florida
Polk County hosts more than 70 youth, adult, and senior softball tournaments annually. Home to over 40 tournament-quality competitive softball fields, Polk County is suitable to host events that appeal to all ages. All competition venues include parking, seating, and concessions available to spectators. With eight multi-field complexes all located within a 30-mile radius of each other, Polk County is considered one of the country’s premier softball tournament destinations.
Softball is big business in Polk County at all levels and with virtually all major associations including Amateur Softball Association (ASA), Independent Softball Association (ISA), and National Softball Association (NSA). Each of these have hosted National Championship events in Polk County. Including the NSA Girls Fastpitch B World Series, the ASA 2000 National Softball Championships, ASA 2000 World Series and the ISA’s Annual Sunshine Shootout.
